BSC Backpackers Hostel at BSC Lake Biwa is the affordable escape you've been looking for.
Situated only 40minutes from Kyoto by train, we are located at the base of the 'Japanese Alps'
right on the shores of Lake Biwa, Japan's largest fresh water lake.
We offer a variety of accommodation to suite everybody's needs from backpackers to families to business and corporate events.
BSC Backpackers Hostel at BSC Lake Biwa will open in January 2005 and is located within the Biwako Sailing Club which was established in 1973.
The reception is open every day from 8am to 7pm and check in is from 3pm to 7pm.
We offer a variety of water sports such as windsurfing, canoeing and sailing (dinghies and charter yacht) and fresh water fishing.
The Japan Alps, including Mt Horai (1174m) and Mt Uchimi (1103m) are also just a few minutes. Here you enjoy some of the bestmountain hiking Japan has to offer. In winter, we are just 4 minutes drive away from Biwako Valley Ski Resort and accommodation/ski rental/lift pass packages will soon be available.
So BSC House is a great place to stay no matter what the season and our friendly staff (Japanese and English speaking) have great local knowledge
and will be most happy to assist you with any information you might need.
