How to get to BSC - Water Sports Centre and BSC Packpackers Hostel:
The BSC - Water Sports Centre campus is just 40 minutes away by train from central Kyoto and is located on the shores of Lake Biwa in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
It is surrounded by spectacular mountain ranges that in winter offers skiing and snowboarding, with hiking and camping during autumn and summer. From Kyoto, catch the Kosei Line to Horai Station (get on a non express/non-rapid train).
We are only 5 minutes walk from the station (South) along Route 161.
If you are driving (from the South), just get onto Route 161 and head North from the Biwako O-Hashi (Lake Biwa Bridge) in Katata.
